Ranchi, Feb 06 (UNI) A complaint case was filed against Maharashtra Navanirman Sena president Raj Thakre in Jharkhand accusing him of hurting the sentiments of the people of north India.

This was the second time when a complaint case was filed against the MNS leader in the civil court of Jamshedpur last year on the same charge.

One Kafilur Rahman, president of Indian Advocates Front, filed the complaint case before the Chief Judicial Magistrate here. The complainant alleged that the statement given by Thakre was anti-national and unconstitutional.

'' The statement was an attack on the Hindu religion, community as well as national unity and integrity,'' he said and added that ''Thakre's statement indicates that he was trying to divide the country.'' Mr Rahman further said the MNS president's activities proved that he was being guided by the ''international agents''.

Last year, a complaint case had been filed in Jamshedpur civil court in connection with Raj's alleged statement against the Bihari community.

A warrant was issued against him and later the Jharkhand High Court ruled that no coercive action should be initiated against the MNS president.

The case is still pending.
