Budget session of UP assembly begins on Feb 8

Lucknow, Feb 6 : Uttar Pradesh State Legislature's budget session will start from Friday. The session would be more than a month long and it will continue till 12th of March.

The session will commence with Governor's address to the joint session of both the houses of the State legislature. The State Government is expected to present its budget proposal on 12th of February. Vote on accounts for the first three months will also be presented on that day.

Mumbai, Mar 10: Multinational Bank, HSBC has forecast a peak inflation rate of 6.5 per cent at the end of 2008 and has revised its Wholesale Price Inflation (WPI) forecast at an average of 6.2 per cent for fiscal 2009. The Bank in a review here said, through the inflation leel had not reached a level that was likely to trigger panic within policy circles, the pace of increase must be a concern. FM urges industry to support 'historic' Budget

New Delhi, Mar 6: Terming the loan waiver of Rs 60,000 crore announced for farmers as 'historic and momentous', the Finance Minister P Chidambaram urged the industry to offer an unstinted support to the Budget 2008-09.
