3 employees of transport company killed

Noida, Feb 6 (UNI) Three employees of a transport company, who were travelling in a company's vehicle, were fatally attacked by four assailants in sector 11 here this afternoon.

The employees were --Sahabuddin, Suresh and Iqbal. The incident occurred when at an intersection, four people in a car fired at the employees who were travelling in the company vehicle.

All the three died instantly.

The transport company had long been complaining of the inconvenience created by a transport mafia that restrained its vehicles from running on the roads regarding which it had also moved the Allahabad High Court. Fifteen days ago, their problem was sorted and their vehicles running with no restraints.

However, the victims' family members have allegedly held a minister of the state responsible for the incident. The minister's name has, however, yet to be revealed.

Kashmir valley faces acute shortage of meat and chicken

Srinagar, Feb 6 (UNI) The Kashmir valley is facing an acute shortage of meat and chicken as truck carrying essential commodities are stranded on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway, which has been closed due to heavy snowfall for the past three days. However, fresh vegetables, eggs and local fish were available in the market.
