Miscreants decamp with ornaments from Jewellery shop

Sambalpur, Feb 03 (UNI) Unidentified miscreants today decamped with jewellery worth cores of rupees from a jewellery shop on busy Ashoka Talkies Road in the heart of the town.

The incident occurred under Dhanupali police station in the broad daylight.

Sources said that five to six people, armed with weapons, barged into the shop, broke the close circuit cameras inside the show room and within few minutes decamped with the Jewellery and some cash.

Immediately after the incident, the police rushed to the shop, sealed all the roads and dispatched police teams to various locations to nab the culprits.

At the same time, neighbouring districts were also alerted and asked to keep watch on the vehicle used by the dacoits. The shop owner claimed that the dacoits had looted ornaments worth over Rs.2 crore.
