Chandigarh, Feb 3 (UNI) The Haryana Government has invited applications upto March 31, from eligible beneficiaries to give plots of 100 square yards under the allotment of plots to Scheduled Castes and people living below the poverty line scheme.
In a communication address to all Deputy Commissioners, the Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary, Development and Panchayat said that all eligible beneficiareis would have to submit their applications in the prescribed proforma to panchayats through Block, Development and Panchayat Officers (BDOs).
The plots would be allotted on available Shamlat land. In those areas where the land is not available, the plot would be alloted either by obtaining land or through transfer or acquisition of land.
Deputy Commissioners have been asked to identify land for allotment of plots by March 15. They have also been instructed to ensure that the land should be suitable for such purposes and also be closed proximity to the inhabitated area.
For allotment of plot , head of family would be considered as a single unit. The annual income of the other caste poor families except scheduled castes should not be more than Rs 45,000.
The head of the family would have to himself certify the income certificate. The family should be the resident of concerned village and it should not have agriculture land above one acre.
The family or any of its member should not be income tax payee.
No member of the family should be employed with any Board, Corporation or Municipal Corporation. No member of the family should have a job in the industry and commercial organization and samiti at par with the government.
Apart from this, the family or any member of the family should not have been alloted 100 square yards plots by the Panchayat or Government. Village level committee would be constituted to scrutinize the applications.
The committee would consist of sarpanch, patwari, village secretary, head of the school and nambardars belonging to scheduled castes.
The applications would be scrutinized within three months after the last date of the receipt. Apart from this, official deputed by Deputy Commissioners would conduct random checking of the applications.
The communication also directed the Deputy Commissioner to formulate plans for providing basic amenities and infrastructure in such areas. These amenities would include pucca roads, streets and water supply.
