Formation of smaller State not good for country: Deshmukh

Tirumala, Feb 2 (UNI) Maharastra Chief Minister M Vilasrao Deshmukh tonight said the constitution of smaller states was not good for the country.

After darshan of Lord Venkateswara swamy at the temple town here, he told reporters that formation of smaller states was the opinion of leaders alone and not of the public.

Mr Deshmukh was received by TTD officials at the temple.

He will participate in the morning rituals at Tirumala tomorrow before leaving to Maharastra.

Pune, Feb 3 (UNI) Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray today said the issue of farmers suicide was the primary concern of the saffron alliance and it will soon launch an agitation for waiver of their loans if the Maharashtra government fails to take action.
