The case was filed at MIG police station last evening on the basis of complaint of N-BOT member and Soybean Processors Association of India (SOPA) Treasurer S N Rathi, who alleged that Mr Shahara and his men tried to abduct him from a local hotel on Friday night when he had gone to meet Forward Market Commission (FMC) Chairman B C Khatua in connection with irregularities in the N-BOT.
SOPA Coordinator Rajesh Agrawal and Mr Rathi had demanded the FMC to enquire into share allotment and the process of demutualisation of N-BOT into a profit-sharing company.
Mr Agrawal said SOPA had been repeatedly demanding the concerned Union Ministry and Commission to enquire into the entire process expressing fears that a scam to the tune of thousand crores of rupees was taking place.
