Boy hospitalised after being beaten by teacher

Rajkot, Feb 3 (UNI) An 11-year-old student of Madhuram Vidyalya at Gandhigram has been hopitalised after his teacher allegedly beat him at school.

The student Harsh Vora, was allegedly beaten and slapped by the teacher Hema Bharwad when he was unable to pronounce the word ''Ravi'' correctly, according to a complaint registered with the police.

In his complaint, the student's father Rajendra has stated that his son has a problem of stammering.

Harsh returned home with high fever and had to be taken to a children's hospital for treatment, the father has said in the complaint.

The parents have also reported the matter to the District Education Officer K D Bagda.
