Resentment in BJP MLAs over delay in expansion of the Ministry

Patna, Feb 02 (UNI) The dissidence among BJP Legislators over inordinate delay in expansion of the Nitish Kumar Ministry came to fore during the BJP Legislative party meeting here today.

Party sources said here that senior party leaders and MLAs - Bhola Singh, Giriraj Singh, Rampravesh Rai and Pramod Kumar - vehemently raised the issue and lamented that delay in the expansion of the Ministry was sending a wrong message to party cadres and it should be expanded without any further delay.

'' The apprehension that there could be a rift in the party over expansion of the ministry has no basis and it should not be delayed on one pretext or the other, '' they observed.

In-charge of the party affairs of Bihar Kalraj Mishra tried to pacify the MLAs by making a point that there were several limitations and obligations of the coaltion Ministry and hiccups on the issue would be removed soon.

Formation of smaller State not good for country: Deshmukh

Tirumala, Feb 2 (UNI) Maharastra Chief Minister M Vilasrao Deshmukh tonight said the constitution of smaller states was not good for the country. After darshan of Lord Venkateswara swamy at the temple town here, he told reporters that formation of smaller states was the opinion of leaders alone and not of the public. Hearing in murder, rape cases of Sacha Sauda Chief on Feb 23

Ambala, Feb 2 (UNI) Special CBI Judge R K Saini deferred the hearing in the murder and rape cases of Sacha Sauda Chief Baba Gurmit Ram Rahim till February 23 here today. The Dera Chief was present in the court. Baba's counsels Jasmer Singh and Surya Narain pleaded that the records with regard to the case submitted by the CBI to the court, had not been made available to them. They made mention.....
