Mercedes-Benz launches new C-Class in Bangalore

Bangalore, Feb 2: DaimlerChrysler today unveiled its new C-Class Mercedes Benz reasserting itself as the technological leader in this market segment and opening up new dimensions in performance and driving pleasure.

The new stylish dynamic and elegant product was unveiled in the presence of media representatives here by Daimler Chrysler India Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Wilfried Aulbur along with authorised dealer Sundaram Motors Executive Director Sharat Vijayaraghavan. Later talking to newsmen, Dr Aulbur said the new C-Class was more power packed and more spacious. He declined to give details about the number of units to be sold in India during this year except saying that the company intended to sell over 3000 passenger cars of all categories.

Mr Sharat Vijayaraghavan said Bangalore was the prime market for the company to sell its various types of passenger cars considering the booming Indian economy, mainly due to Information Technology and IT Enabled Services companies. Young people, with huge salary packets were bound to go in for new products like the C-Class, he hoped saying that the company had sold 64 C-Class old type during last year. The C-Class had already created a lot of excitement in the local market, he revealed.

The company, with its market launch of the Mercedes-Benz E-class in 1995 in India, had sold more than 20000 vehicles till date registering a compounded Added Growth Rate of nine per cent since inception.

Ahmedabad, Feb 9: The German auto giant, Mercedes-Benz today launched its C-Class model in the city. The C-Class model was launched by DaimlerChrysler India Head - Corporate Affairs Suhas Kadlaskar and Cama Motors Chairman Jahangir Cama, who is also an authorised dealer of Mercedes-Benz in Gujarat. The petrol model of the car, which will be available in six different colours, is tagged with basic price of Rs 27.40 lakh, while its diesel model costs Rs 30.40 lakh. Speaking on the occasion,.....
