Mortal remains of Blasius M D'Souza buried

Mangalore, Jan 27 (UNI) The mortal remains of former Karnataka Minister and Member of the Legislative Council Blasius M D'Souza, who died here yesterday following a prolonged illness, were buried at Bendurwell church graveyard here with full state honours today.

Union Labour Minister Oscar Fernandes and former Defence Minister George Fernandes were among the dignitaries who visited D'Souza's house and paid their last respects to the departed leader.

Earlier, the body of D'Souza, kept in a coffin, was taken in a procession from his home to the burial ground. His two sons and three daughters, besides a large number of friends and well wishers were present during the burial.
