Lorry runs over two children

Chennai, Jan 27 (UNI) A four-year-old boy and an eight-month-old girl were crushed to death when a sand-laden lorry ran over them at the suburban Medvakkam bus stand today.

Police said the driver of the lorry was reversing the vehicle when the mishap occurred.

The deceased were sleeping in the bus stand when the rear wheels ran over them.

Their mother Ganga was admitted to a hospital in a serious condition.

Vatican may open St Paul's tomb to study contents

Vatican City, Dec 12: The Vatican has said it was studying the possibility of opening a thick marble sarcophagus believed to contain the remains of the 1st century apostle St Paul to study its contents.The prospect was raised at a news conference yesterday, at which Vatican officials unveiled the results of an archaeological dig which has made part of the sarcophagus in Rome's Basilica of St Paul's Outside the Walls visible to pilgrims.''We tried to X-ray it to.....

More accurate tests needed to predict cardiovascular problems in the elderly: Study

London, January 9 (ANI): Dutch researchers are calling for the replacement of a traditional system for assessing the risk of cardiovascular disease amongst older people with some new and more accurate tests.The suggestion comes following a study that looked at several hundred people without the history of cardiovascular disease, aged 85 over, over a five-year period, to see which of them succumbed to events like stroke and heart disease, and whether different ways of assessing their risk of such disease.....
