Indian jeweller looted and stabbed to death in Nepal

Kathmandu, Jan 27 (UNI) An unidentified gang of looters stabbed to death Bishow Nath Patel of India in Sukul Dhoka of Bhaktapur district near here.

The looters also reportedly took away 10 'tolas' of gold, Rs 1,50,000 and two kilos of silver from his shop, Kantipur reported, quoting the police as saying.

Patel, 35, breathed his last while on the way to Bir Hospital.

He had a jewellery shop in Bhaktapur.

Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association condemned the incident and demanded stringent action against the culprits.

It said it has ''decided to shut down all jewellery shops in the Kathmandu Valley today.'' The association also urged the government to provide them adequate security.

Police said they are investigating the killing.

Muzaffarabad, Dec.8 (ANI): The chief of the Jamaat-ud-Dawa, the political wing of the banned militant organization, Lashkar-e-Toiba, Hafiz Muhammad Saeed has accused India of wanting to destroy Pakistan-controlled Kashmir.Saeed told Geo News that the ongoing operation in Pakistan Kashmir was under Indian pressure, and this was unwarranted.Saeed further said that the targeting of Kashmiri organizations without any proof was an expression of weakness.Earlier, wanted Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) commander, Zakiur Rehman Lakhwi was reportedly arrested by Pakistani army personnel.....
