New Delhi,Jan 16 (UNI) The Anti-Corruption branch of Delhi Police today filed a closure report against a sub-inspector under the Sections of Prevention of Corruption Act.
The report was filed in the court of special judge CBI, A S Yadav.
An FIR was registered against Kumara Satendra under various sections of Prevention of Corruption Act with the order of the Delhi High Court on a petition filed by one Prem Chand alleging that the sub-inspector took a sum of Rs 30,000 as bribe for helping him in filing the bail application of his son Rajpal against whom an FIR was registered for purchasing a girl named Ratna and later marrying her on false pretence.
The police said in the closure report that Prem Chand could not safisfactorily answer the source of the money paid as bribe.
Prem Chand said he had paid the bribe amount after selling his buffalo but the police cited the reason that the person who purchased the buffalo was not aware of the reason for selling the animal.
The court has fixed February 1 for consideration of the closure report.
