Singapore shocked over Bhutto's assassination

Singapore, Dec 28 (UNI) Singapore has expressed deep shock over the assassination of the former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto at an election rally in Rawalpindi.

"Singapore is shocked and horrified at the suicide bomb attack that claimed the lives of Benazir Bhutto and other victims. We strongly condemn these murders. We extend our deepest condolences to the families of Ms Bhutto and other victims,'' said Singapore Foreign Ministry in a statement last night.

''Singapore strongly supports the efforts of the Pakistan government to bring the perpetrators to justice and combat terrorism," the statement added.

Benazir killing: PPP announces 40-day mourning

Islamabad, Dec 28: Pakistan People's Party (PPP) announced a 40-day mourning across the country, demanding an independent and honest investigation to probe into the slaying of former Prime minister and party's chairperson Benazir Bhutto. Senior Vice-Chairman of PPP, Makhdoom Amin Fahimad, said PPP workers and family members of Bhutto should be aware of those involved in the incident. He asserted that post-mortem report would clear the true picture whether she was shot at or killed in a suicide attack......

IDG, Erasmic invests $3 million in Perfint

Bangalore, Dec 28: IDG Ventures India, a $150 Million early-stage technology venture capital fund and Erasmic Venture Fund have invested $3 million and $3.5 million (Rs 13.79 crore) respectively in Perfint, a Chennai/Mysore based healthcare devices start up. With $3 million, IDG Ventures, led the funding and the rest came from Erasmic, an early stage $10 million fund from Bangalore.
