Shahi Imam of Fatehpuri Masjid condemns Bhutto's assassination

New Delhi, Dec 28 (UNI) The Shahi Imam of Fatehpuri Masjid, Mufti M Mukaram Ahmed Saheb, today condemned the assassination of former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto and said such attacks are totally non-Islamic.

He also condemned the ''attack on the Christian minority'' in Orissa. ''The state government as well as the Centre is not imposing any ban on the such dangerous elements,'' he lamented.

Meanwhile, in a separate message, the regional unit of the Shiv Sena also condemned the brutal murder of Bhutto and accused President Pervez Musharraf of supporting terrorists.

Mahinder records fifth straight win in HP polls

Shimla, Dec 28 (UNI) Mahinder Singh, BJP's candidate from Dharampur constituency in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh, has recorded five straight victories in as many assembly elections from different parties every time. Mr Singh first contested and won the assembly elections from Dharampur in 1990 as an independent, defeating BJP's Priya Vrat.
