Shahi Imam of Fatehpuri Masjid condemns Bhutto's assassination

New Delhi, Dec 28 (UNI) The Shahi Imam of Fatehpuri Masjid, Mufti M Mukaram Ahmed Saheb, today condemned the assassination of former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto and said such attacks are totally non-Islamic.

He also condemned the ''attack on the Christian minority'' in Orissa. ''The state government as well as the Centre is not imposing any ban on the such dangerous elements,'' he lamented.

Meanwhile, in a separate message, the regional unit of the Shiv Sena also condemned the brutal murder of Bhutto and accused President Pervez Musharraf of supporting terrorists.

Pathalgaon, Chhattisgarh, Dec 28 (UNI) Six villagers were arrested today for using electrocution to poach elephants and other wild animals in Raigarh district's Dharamjaigarh Forest Division. ''The gang poached a tusker last week in Chhal Forest Circle. Post mortem confirmed electrocution and monitoring was stepped up. S Tel to offer revised tariff across the nation

Chennai, Dec 27 (UNI) S Tel Limited, a telecom provider establishing a spectrum efficient state-of-the-art telecom infrastructure and network on pan-India basis, will offer 30 paise per call and drive the tariff down across the country. According to a company release here today, S Tel was one among the applicants for new telecom licences in all the 22 service areas in the country.
