Railways trounce Delhi in finals

Puducherry, Dec 28 (UNI) Indian Railway women retained the 58th Senior National Basketball Championship defeating Delhi in the final here this evening.

The defending champions cruised past Delhi 95-74. Businesslike right from the beginning, Railways maintained the lead with Geethu Anna Jose, Geo Blessy and Seema Singh making no mistakes in finding the cage.

Railways maintained an eight ponit lead at the breather with the scoreboard at 43-35. Though Delhi tried their best, they could not cope with the speed and tactics of their opponents to whom they surrendered meekly.

Results : Women's Final - Indian Railways 95 (Geethu Anna Jose 33, Seema Singh and Geo Blessy 15 each) bt Delhi 74 (Sheeba Megaon 19,Divya Singh 12).

Rupee ends flat at 39.41per USD

Mumbai, Dec 28: The Rupee today ended flat against the US Dollar at 39.41/42 from its previous close amid choppy trade in the market on weak global cues. Entry fee for telecom licence needs revisit: Mishra

New Delhi, Dec 28 (UNI) The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) today said the entry fee for new licences in the telecom sector should be increased as it is not reflective of a true market price In an interview to a business channel (CNBC TV 18) Trai Chairman Nripendra Mishra said it is time to think about revisiting the prices discovered in 2001 auction. Dhumal to take oath on Dec 30: Satpal
