Puttige seer to meet Pejavar Swamiji on Paryaya

Admar, Karnataka, Dec 28 (UNI) Sugunendra Thirtha Swamiji of Puttige Mutt today announced that he would have a one to one talk with Vishvesha Thirtha Swamiji of Pejawar Mutt on the controversy generated over performing pooja to lord Krishna following his visit to foreign country.

Talking to newsmen after accepting felicitation by Vibhudesha Thirtha Swamiji, the senior pontiff of Udupi Adamar Mutt here, he expressed confidence that the controversy created over his adoring Paryaya on January 18 would be resolved after the talk.

Strongly defending his foreign tour where he had propogated the messages of Madhva philosophy, the swamiji claimed that he had not done anything wrong which prohibits him performing pooja to Lord Krishna at Krishna Mutt.

The pontiff said that he has a plan to offer Gem Chariot to Lord Sri Krishna during his two year Paryaya period and pay respect to Adamar Mutt chief for his contribution in providing spiritual education.

Vibhudesha Thirtha Swamiji, who also spoke, said that there was absolutely no connections between foreign tour, Sri Krishna Pooja and the issue of giving Sanyasadeeksha to a junior seer as demanded by the pontiffs of other Asta mutts to adore Paryaya.

The pontiff also mentioned that he had never given up his rights of Paryaya after his foreign tour.

It may be recalled that the pontiffs of Mutts, except for Senior pontiff of Admar Mutt, through a signed letter had appealed to Puthige seer to make alternative arrangements for conducting Sri Krishna Pooja at the famous Sri Krishna Temple. The seers who were opposing Puttige seer urging not to conduct Krishna Pooja on the ground that the latter has lost his rights to perform pooja as 'Shastras' and traditions strictly prohibit it after having visited to a foreign country and stayed there.
