Kumaraswamy to lead JD(S) in the coming Assembly elections

Bangalore, Dec 28 (UNI) Former Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today said that he would lead the Janata Dal(Secular) in the coming mid-term elections to the State Assembly.

Talking to newsmen at Wockhardt Hospital, where he underwent an open heart surgery recently for replacement of valve in the heart, he said, "I would lead the party in the coming Assembly elections and ensure that JD(S) come to power with a majority on its own." Mr Kuamraswamy said that the party workers need not have any apprehension about his health since he had recovered fully and would actively involve in building the party with in a months time.

"There is no need for worrying about my health, I am completely fit and party workers should gear up to fight the elections", he added.

Fact finding team should assess the situation-Christian Council

IIT-K announces Rs.400 Cr. expansion of infrastructure

Kolkata, Dec 28(UNI) IIT, Kharagpur, today announced a major expansion plan in its infrastructure capacity to accommodate more students and enlarge its academic programmes.
