Manipur: JAC seeks help for blast victims


Imphal, Dec 28: The Manipur Joint Action Committee (JAC) has appealed to the people to extend all possible financial assistance for the victims of the December 16 bomb blast.

At least eight persons, including five women, were killed and 31 seriously injured in a bomb blast on December 16. Of the injured, the condition of 11 persons was stated to be critical and they were still under treatment.

The victims were facing financial problems and MLA Th Lokeshore, the Assam Rifles and the general public had extended their help to the victims, the JAC stated.

Besides, the state government had provided Rs one lakh each to the next of kin of the deceased.
