IGNOU and HCT, Abu Dhabi, sign MoC

New Delhi, Dec 28 (UNI) A Memorandum of Collaboration has been signed between Indira Gandhi National Open University and Higher Colleges of Technology, Abu Dhabi, for offering Degree and Diploma Programmes at the Under Graduate and Post Graduate Level.

The emphasis of the programme would be on Research and Development and use of Information Communication Technology-enabled education and interactive multimedia in distance education deliveries.

The memorandum, signed by IGNOU Vice Chancellor Prof V N Rajasekharan Pillai and Dr Tayeb Kamali, VC, Higher Colleges of Technology, would benefit the students of India and United Arab Emirates.

The HCT would function through its corporate arm of the Centre of Excellence for Applied Research and Training (CERT), a body established in UAE having its office at Abu Dhabi.

Both the parties would cooperate in the areas of education, training and related activities in the field of Health Manpower Development, encourage academic exchange and collaboration and advance education and training in respective institutions.
