Four nabbed for cow slaughter in Kapasan

Chittorgarh, Dec 28 (UNI) Four people were arrested in connection with incident of cow slaughter in Kapasan town of this district on Id-ul-Zuha, Superintendent of Police Bhupendra Sahu said.

Mr Sahu said police had also recovered a dagger allegedly used by the accused in killing the bovine. The accused have made confession statement before the police.

The incident had created communal clash leading to bandh in the district on Sunday last. Police had to open fire to curb violence during the bandh which left one person dead.

JSW Steel to invest USD 6.86 mn towards JV in Georgia

New Delhi, Dec 28: JSW Steel Ltd today said it will invest 49 per cent or 6.86 million dollars to form a Joint Venture (JV) Steel Plant with Georgia-based Geo Steel LLC (GSL) to manufacture TMT Bars (Rebars). City cops to treat non-drinkers with candies this new year

Lucknow, Dec 28 (UNI) As a token of appreciation for those who prefer not to drink this new year eve, cops in the Uttar Pradesh capital would treat such people with candies. 25 people, including 4 jawans injured in Kashmir violence

Srinagar, Dec 28 (UNI) About 25 people, including four security jawans, were injured when police lobbed tear gass shells and resorted to repeated baton charge to disperse violent demonstrators in the down town, protesting the assassination of former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.
