Four houses set on fire by TPC ultras

Daltonagnj, Dec 28 (UNI) The Tritiya Prastuti Committee (TPC) ultras set on fire four houses in Goriachora village under Hussainabad police station area in Palamu district of Jharkhand early today.

Police said property worth about Rs 3 lakh were damaged in the incident.

One of the house belonged to self-styled zonal commander of proscribed CPI(Maoist), police added.

Tipu Sultan Mosque Imam serves fresh ultimatum against Taslima

Kolkata, Dec 28 (UNI) The Shahi Imam of Tipu Sultan mosque today served a fresh ultimatum on Taslima Nasreen saying the self-exiled Bangladeshi writer would not be allowed to return Kolkata until she offered unqualified apology for blasphemous writings. Railway Ministry suspends Samjahuta and Thar Express

Well-known sculptor Amarnath Sehgal dead

New Delhi, Dec 28 (UNI) Renowned sculptor Amarnath Sehgal passed away at his residence here yesterday following cardiac arrest. Sehgal, who died at around 1500 hrs, was 85. He is survived by his wife and two sons. Family sources said Sehgal was rushed to the Moolchand Hospital after he flopped in his chair. He was declared brought dead at the Hospital. Sehgal was one of the best known Indian sculptors. His work has won critical acclaim from across the globe. Right.....
