Former Vidhan Sabha deputy speaker Trilok Chand cremated

Bulandshahr, Dec 28 (UNI) The mortal remains of former Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker and senior Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) leader Trilok Chand were consigned to flames at his native town here today.

The RLD leader was admitted to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi, on December 21 for treatment of a prolonged illness, where he succumbed last evening He was 70.

Meanwhile, RLD state unit president Ram Asrey Verma and general secretary Anil Dubey condoled the death of Trilok Chand.

UP Vidhan Sabha Speaker Sukhdev Rajbhar condoled his death, saying, ''The septuagenarian leader always followed high political standards. He advocated democracy and reached the zenith in the world of politics.'' UNI

Bhutto's killing can affect talks with Pak: J

Cong indulging in propaganda in MP: BJP

Bhopal, Dec 28 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Health Minister Ajay Vishnoi today alleged that the state's main opposition Congress was busy indulging in propaganda and the party should apologise to the public. ''The Congress, which is singing the dumpers' purchase 'scam' tune, recently issued a list of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's eight 'relatives' whose dumpers were operating under a Rewa-based industrial group. Shillong, Dec 28 (UNI) Union Tribal Affairs Minister's son Waibha Khyriem Kyndiah today maintained that he is a tribal as well as a Khasi. Rubbishing allegations leveled against him that he was not a tribal and a non-Khasi by law, he said he had all documents to prove that he was a tribal.
