D K Sarraf joins as Director (Finance) of ONGC

New Delhi, Dec 28 (UNI) Country's largest exploration company ONGC said D K Sarraf has joined as its new Director (Finance), subsequent to orders issued by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, the company said in a statement.

Mr Sarraf who joined yesterday was director of finance at ONGC Videsh Ltd (OVL), ONGC's overseas investment arm. He was also involved in conversion of the erstwhile Oil and Natural Gas Commission to a Company including financial restructuring and valuation of ONGC and disinvestment of Government shareholding in ONGC in 1994.

The position of Director (Finance) of ONGC had fallen vacant after R S Sharma was elevated from Director (Finance) to CMD in May 2006.

Kathmandu, Dec 28 (UNI) Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala today said he was stunned by the assassination of former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.
