New Delhi, Dec 25, 2007 : It was a 12 month full of messy land disputes, legal wrangles, and jail tenures for Bollywood. Even though Big B turned the Ash- Abhi wedding into a private affair, who can stop controversies when a girl slits her wrist for being dumped by 'Aby Baby."

The Big Boss winner Shilpa Shetty was another major newsmaker for the shutterbugs when she was publicly hugged and kissed by Hollywood actor Richard Gere. However, it is believed that controversies mostly act as oxygen for films.

Lucknow, July 19: Trying to shut all controversies, Bollywood's Mega Superstar Amitabh Bachchan is said to have surrendered all his agricultural land in Barabanki district, adjoining the state capital to the government for constructing a school. Shilpa Shetty conferred doctorate

Mumbai, July 18: Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty was conferred an honorary doctorate by the Leeds Metropolitan University in the United Kingdom. The doctorate was conferred upon the actress, who became a household name in Britain after winning the controversial 'Big Brother' reality show, at a student graduation ceremony, informed her spokesperson Dale Bagwagar. Earlier, in honour of the International Indian Film Academy's (IIFA) visit to Yorkshire last month, the Leeds Metropolitan University had conferred.....
