Sacha Sauda Satsang, Granth Path go off smoothly in Hisar

Hisar, Dec 27 (UNI) The tension at Shakarpura village of Fatehabad over Akhand Path of Guru Granth Sahib at the house of a Dera Sacha Sauda follower was diffused today after parleys between the authorities and village elders.

The Guru Granth Sahib Satkar Sabha had warned sarpanch Balkishan Kamboj, to desist from holding the 'bhog' of the Akhand Path.

In view of the tense situation, the administration deputed police force in the village to avoid any ugly situation as the Sabha members had threatened to take away Guru Granth Sahib by force from the house of the sarpanch.

However, SDM of Tohana, Tilak Raj held meetings with both the sides and to defuse the situation a simple religious function was organised at Gurudwara of village Dher near here and Des Raj, the son of sarpanch, was presented a 'Siropa' (robe of honour).

By virtue of this congregation and custom, Des Raj could hold a Akhand Path.

In the meanwhile, the satsang of Dera Sacha Sauda went off peacefully at Barwala amid presence of huge posse of police force.

The route of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim, was changed at the last moment due to security reasons.
