Rupee opens flat at 39.42/43 agianst USD

Mumbai, Dec 27: Rupee today opened flat at 39.42/43 against the US currency from its previous close in a less active inter bank foreign exchange (Forex) market. The local currency was little changed in early deals against the US Dollar, with trading interest limited as the end of the year ahead, dealers said.

Mumbai, July 27: A drastic fall in sensex margins brought massive losses to Rupee today. The local unit opened at 40.48/50, nearly 14 paise down from the previous close of 40.34/35 per US dollar. It later collapsed by more than 22 paise to touch 40.56/57 levels against dollar with Reserve bank was seen nowhere in the scene during the first half of the day, said dealers. Rupee ends flat at 40.34/35 per dollar

Mumbai, July 26: The Rupee today stood range bound for the day and finally closed flat at 40.34/35 per dollar. Surplus cash in the system prompted Reserve bank to buy out dollars keeping the unit rangebound, to contain further appreciation of the currency, said dealers. Rupee started the day weaker at 40.35/36 and touched a high of 40.27 per dollar during the day before ending at 40.34/35 per dollar. Traders said.....
