Rahul Bakshi leads by five strokes at Sunfeast All India

New Delhi, Dec 27 (UNI) Chandigarh's Rahul Bakshi despite carding a two-over 74 emerged as the leader after the penultimate round of the Sunfeast All India Junior/Sub-Junior Golf Championship here today.

The young Chandigarh golfer was three-under 213 for the tournament.

Amanjyot Singh who shot the day's best score of one-over 73 was second at 218 while Rashid Khan had a disappointing day with a five-over 77 which put him in the third place at 219. Chikkarangappa from Category B was tied with Angad Cheema for the fourth place at 223. Ankur Chadda and Abhijit Chadha shard the sixth spot at 224.

Rahul had pars on the first four holes and went even better on the fifth making a birdie. However, he lost his concentration as he made a hat-trick of bogeys on the last three holes of his front nine. On the back nine Rahul made a birdie on the 11 th but hit a double bogey on the 12th. With a birdie on the 14th he was one-over for the round but erred again on the 16th and ended with a bogey to finish two-over for the day.

Amanjyot started with a birdie on the opening hole but lost the advantage immediately when he three-putted the next for a bogey.

The Jaipur golfer was in deep trouble on his drive and was forced to lose two strokes. His back nine was a shade better, despite a bogey on the 10th. He made an eagle on the 12th to be one-over for the day. A bogey on the 15th put him two-strokes over par. However, the former Junior British Open winner salvaged a birdie on the17th to finish at one-over par.
