President expresses shock, grief at Benazir killing

New Delhi, Dec 27 (UNI) President Pratibha Patil expressed deep shock and grief at the assassination of Pakistan's former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto describing it as a ''tragedy not just for Pakistan but for the entire region.'' In a condolence message, the President said the incident was a reminder of the danger that terrorism posed to the stability of human society.

''The assassination of Mrs Benazir Bhutto is a tragedy not just for Pakistan but for our entire region. We stand with the people of Pakistan in this hour of grief and tragedy,'' the President said in her message.

UAE condemns Bhutto's assassination

Dubai, Dec 27 (UNI) The UAE Foreign Affairs Minister today condemned the assassination of former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto and called on the people of Pakistan to unify ranks in the face of vicious terror.
