Art director lodges cheating case against another art director


Mumbai, Dec 26: Art Director Krishna Singh today said she has registered a cheating case with the Oshiwara police station against another art director Ajit Patnaik, who is the Chairman, President and the Executive Secretary of the Association of Cine and TV Art Directors.

Ms Singh is currently on a hunger strike since December 5 for non-payment of her dues.

Speaking at a press conference here, Ms Singh alleged that she was cheated by Patnaik to the tune of Rs 1.5 lakh who did not pay her salary for 15 months from September 2002 to January 2004.

She further alleged that the association had promised her Rs 3 lakh as her salary but refused after some months and had presented a forged receipt of Rs 25,000 with Singh's signature as the receipient of the amount. A case has been registered at the Oshiwara police station against the same.

Ms Singh also alleged that she was asked for sexual favours from the members of the association for helping her out and letting her continue as a association member and working as a art director.
