J&K: Nepali labourer murdered at Leh

Srinagar, Dec 24: A Nepali labourer was murdered at Leh in Ladakh region of the Jammu and Kashmir today, official sources said. They said Gopal Thapa, resident of Nepal, was murdered by some unidentified persons at Chuchot Leh, early this morning.

Police has arrested one Kishan Puri, also a resident of Nepal, for questioning, sources said adding the investigation was in progress. The crime rate in the Leh has increased in the recent months.

Crime Bureau foil terrorist attack in Moscow

Moscow, Feb 27: Russia's Organised Crime Bureau said they foiled a terrorist attack here when they arrested Farid Magomedov with an explosive device at a bus stop in the north-west of the city on last Thursday.Investigators told Russian news agencies yesterday that Magomedov from Daghestan, a Russian republic in the North Caucasus near Chechnya, was responsible for the production of explosives used in terrorist attacks in the republic.
