Woman dies after being administered wrong injection

Sehore, MP, Dec 14 (UNI) A woman died after she was administered a wrong injection at a government hospital in this district, official sources said today.

Khadigaon village-resident Rani B, who was bitten by dog, had gone for getting fourth Rabies injection but nurse Alka Sarathe administered her a wrong injection for making her unconscious.

Chief Medical Officer Amritlal Marawi said the nurse has been suspended. The matter was being investigated.

The Red Cross Society has provided financial assistance of Rs 5,000 to the family member of the deceased.

Health Minister Vishwajit Rane's appeal dismissed

Panaji, Dec 14 (UNI) A local court today dismissed a Criminal revision application filed by Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane in a case against him for allegedly making a threat call to 'Utt Goenkara' spokesman Advocate Aires Rodrigues. North Goa Sessions Judge U V Bakre, however, discharged the second accused in the case Ms Divya Rane, wife of the Health Minister, from whose phone Mr Rane made the alleged threatening call to Mr Rodrigues. The Sessions Judge directed the Health Minister.....

Lalu gets breather, eight punished in fodder scam

Ranchi, Dec 12 (UNI) The designated CBI court today delivered judgment on the remaining eight accused in multi-crore rupee fodder scam cases even as Railway Minister Lalu Prasad got a breather till January 7. Jharkhand High Court passed the order in response to a writ petition, filed by Mr Prasad and three other accused - Dr K M Prasad, former Animal Husbandry Department officer, Vidya Sagar Nishad and Dr Rabindra Kumar Rana - both former Legislators. Father of accused boy in Gurgaon shootout surrenders

Gurgaon, Dec 14 (UNI) Azad Yadav, the father of the accused boy in the killing of eighth class student Abhishek Tyagi, today surrendered before the police here even as it was discovered that the revolver used in Tuesday's shootout did not actually belong to him as believed earlier. DCP, Gurgaon (south), Satish Balan told mediapersons that Azad Yadav, who went into hiding after the juvenile crime took place, surrendered in the police station of Sector-40 of Gurgaon.
