Octogenarian Professor for a student

Jaipur, 14 Dec, 2007 : An 87-year-old retired English professor is proving to be the most disciplined student of the Rajasthan University.

With six different Post Graduate degrees, M K Prem, a senior citizen from Jaipur, is currently pursuing his Masters degree in Psychology and regularly attends classes at the University. And with most government academies in Rajasthan facing an acute deficit in students' attendance, the retired professor is certainly an inspiration for many.

Chennai, Feb 22: The seven-member expert committee, headed by former Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Chief P K Raghavan to find out the means and methods to prevent ragging in college campuses, will submit its report before the Supreme Court in the first week of April.Talking to reporters, after a meeting with parents, students and college management representatives here today, Mr Raghavan said the Committee had visited Guwahati, Kolkata, Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai, Bhopal and Kochi, where they received some constructive suggestions.....
