Madhubani, Dec 14 (UNI) As many as 13 people were awarded life imprisonment by Fast Track courts in Bihar today.
Fast Track court Judge Ravindra Nath Singh found nine people guilty of killing Harikrishna Singh, a native of Kaithahi village under Rajnagar police station in Madhubani district.
According to the prosecuton, the victim was killed by the convicts inside the civil court premises here on August 22, 1986.
In Banka another local Fast Track court awarded life imprisonment to four members of a family in a murder case.
Fast Track court Judge N N Chaudhary found all the accused guilty of killing Lakshman Singh and awarded them life imprisonment.
According to prosecution, the victim was killed with a sharp weapon by the convicts at Mahisauta village under Shambhuganj police station in the district in March 2001.
