Telugu comedian enters Guinness Book of World Records

Hyderabad, Dec 14 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today congratulated Telugu movie comedian, Brahmanandam for gaining an entry into the Guinness Book of World Records for acting in maximum number of Telugu films.

According to a release here, Dr Brahmanandam acted in 754 Telugu films since his entry into the film field 20 years ago. The Chief Minister described him as the greatest comedian in the contemporary Telugu commericial cinema, who had won the hearts of crores of Telugu people throughout the world.

Dr Reddy said Dr Brahamananadam had carved out a unique style of acting with splendid modulation of dialogue delivery with a typical body language.

CMP's motor cycle display regales audience

Bathinda, Dec 14 (UNI) The sesquicentenary celebrations of the Central India Horse (CIH) continued for the second day today with an impressive display by the motor cycle team of the Corps of Military Police (CMP), popularly known as 'Shwet Ashw'. The breathtaking show yesterday was witnessed by a large number of serving officers, junior commissioned officers and other ranks of the Regiment and nearly 400 ex-servicemen with their families. Also among the audience were 38 British nationals from Regiment's UK.....

Y S Rajashekara Reddy agrees to modernise ITIs

Hyderabad, Dec 15: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajashekara Reddy has agreed to modernise all the ITIs in the state. According to a press release here yesterday, Dr Reddy agreed to appoint 400 Assistant Training Officers (ATOs) on outsourcing basis. He also agreed the proposal of Centrally-sponsored Domestic Funding Scheme in which five ITIs would be given Rs 1.6 crore each. Mr Reddy agreed the World Bank-funded vocational training improvement project under which 20 ITIs would get Rs three crore.....

Sonia to address rallies in Himachal Pradesh

Shimla, Dec 15: Congress Party President Sonia Gandhi will address two rallies in Himachal Pradesh today for the second phase of Assembly elections, scheduled to be held on December 19. Sonia will address a rally at the state capital. Later, she will address another rally at Una district. Earlier, Sonia was to begin electioneering on December 11 at Rehan and Mandi but her visit was cancelled due to bad weather. Besides Sonia, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and All India Congress Committee.....
