Sharmila Tagore joins the long list of celebrity judges on TV

Mumbai, Dec 14 (UNI) Censor Board Chief and noted actress Sharmila Tagore has joined the long list of celebrity judges being seen on television reality shows.

Making her television debut, Tagore will join music composer Shankar Mahadevan and lyricist Prasoon Joshi on ''Dhoom Macha De''- a musical reality show on entertainment channel 'NDTV Imagine' early next year.

The trio, along with SMS voting, will judge the participants to decide the ''Best Live Performer''.

Speaking about her new role as a judge, Tagore said, ''I am really excited to judge Dhoom Macha De. It's something I have not done before and I am really looking forward to it. All the participants are extremely talented and judging them is going to be a tough task.'' Mahadevan added, ''Sharmila Tagore epitomizes beauty and talent in Indian cinema and I have always looked upto her. It's is going to be an honour to sit beside her to judge this show.'' Eleven of India's most popular and established singers like Anaida, Baba Sehgal, Babul Supriyo, Devang Patel, Jaspinder Nirula, Jassi, Kamaal Khan, Richa Sharma, Sapna Awasthi, Suneeta Rao and Taz will come together in the show to compete for the title of ''Best Live performer''.

Tagore was last seen in a cameo in Vidhu Vinod Chopra's ''Eklavya'' early this year.

Chandy demands LDF to clarify stand on contract renewal

NDA to move no confidence against UPA-backed Koda tomorrow

Ranchi, Dec 13 (UNI) The BJP-led NDA will move a no-confidence motion tomorrow in the Assembly against the UPA-backed Madhu Koda government. Leader of Opposition and former Chief Minister Arjun Munda announced this after a meeting of the NDA allies in the Assembly premises. Talking to reporters here, Mr Munda said the NDA was unanimous in moving the motion during the ongoing winter session adding the Koda government had failed on all fronts.
