Rousing reception to C'wealth Power Lifting Champion

Puducherry, Dec 14 (UNI) A rousing reception was accorded to K Masilamani(29), a fisherman youth from Vambakeerappalayam here, who bagged three gold medals and one silver medal in the Commonwealth Power Lifting Championship held in New Zealand recently.

The villagers welcomed him with bands and fire works.

Masilamani told newspersons that by bagging medals in 67.5 kg category lifting 640 kgs, he had brought laurels to Puducherry and the country as a whole.

Kolkata, Dec 14 (UNI) The former soccer players and coaches today blamed East Bengal and Mohun Bagan for their hopeless performance in the I-league.
