Parents lock school to protest teacher shortage

Puducherry, Dec 14 (UNI) To protest against the shortage of teachers in a government primary school, the parents today forcefully locked up the school at Narambai here today.

The incident took place when the half-yearly examination was on at the school.

The parents said the school had only two teachers and their wards were denied quality education.

The teachers and students were asked to come out of the school, before the irate parents locked it.

Following the incident, the authorities concerned cancelled the examination.
