One killed, 3 injured for protesting robbers in Hazaribagh

Hazaribagh, Dec 14 (UNI) One person was killed and three others of the same family were injured for protesting robbers in Choutha locality under Vishnugarh police station area in this district late last night.

Police today said that the robbers, planning to loot a branch of Jharkhand gramin bank in the area, gunned down one Tilakdhari Mahto and injured his two daughters when they resisted the miscreants.

The bank was located at the premises of the deceased.

Agitated over the killing locals blocked the Hazaribagh-Bagodar road this morning for few hours.

Lawyers scuffle with police FIR lodged

Kanpur, Dec 14 (UNI) An FIR was today lodged after over six people, including three medipersons, were wounded and several vehicles set afire in a clash between policemen and lawyers here yesterday. IG S N Singh said the FIR was lodged by people, whose vehicles had been torched during the clash. The incident had occurred near Chetna crossing, where a police constable's motorcycle rammed into the car of a lawyer, Subhash Tiwari.
