Crickiet costs dear for a 6-year old boy

Kendrapara, Dec 14 (UNI) Cricket costs dear for a 6-year-old child. Bunty, son of Satyabrata Muduli of Junapangara village under Rajnagar police station, yesterday lost his life while trying to fish out a cricket ball from a pond.

The ball fell on the pond while the child was playing cricket at the backyard of his house along with his friends after returning from school, police said.

While trying to retrieve the ball from the pond he slipped and drowned in the pond.

Sambalpur, Dec 14 (UNI) A driver was critically injured as sudden fire broke out in the Lakhanpur opencast mines no-1 under Mahanadi Coalfield Ltd (MCL). Mumbai, Dec 14 (UNI) A low-intensity earthquake, with Koyna as the epicentre, hit Nanded and Koyna region of Maharashtra today, a Meteorology department official said here.
