Bokaro Steel Plant's DGM dies in accident

Bokaro, Dec 14 (UNI) A top official of Bokaro Steel Plant died after falling into a coke oven in the plant this evening, official sources said.

BSP's Deputy General Manager B K Govil, while supervising the work at battery No. 4 of the coke oven site inside the plant, accidentally slipped off from about 20 feet into the flames at around 1800 hrs.

He was immediately rushed to Bokaro General hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, hospital sources said.

CMP's motor cycle display regales audience

Bathinda, Dec 14 (UNI) The sesquicentenary celebrations of the Central India Horse (CIH) continued for the second day today with an impressive display by the motor cycle team of the Corps of Military Police (CMP), popularly known as 'Shwet Ashw'. Y S Rajashekara Reddy agrees to modernise ITIs

Hyderabad, Dec 15: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajashekara Reddy has agreed to modernise all the ITIs in the state. According to a press release here yesterday, Dr Reddy agreed to appoint 400 Assistant Training Officers (ATOs) on outsourcing basis. He also agreed the proposal of Centrally-sponsored Domestic Funding Scheme in which five ITIs would be given Rs 1.6 crore each. Mr Reddy agreed the World Bank-funded vocational training improvement project under which 20 ITIs would get Rs three crore.....
