Shimla, Dec 14 (UNI) Former Minister of State in the NDA Government and MP Bachi Singh Rawat today expressed confidence that BJP is all set to form the next government in Himachal Pradesh.

''The BJP has emerged as the first choice for the people of Himachal, which is being reflected by massive presence of the people in its party rallies,'' he told reporters here Mr Rawat is in Shimla on a four-day visit to the state to campaign for the BJP candidates.

He said Congress had time and again betrayed the faith of people by not keeping the promises made to them.

''The state has witnessed phenomenal price rise, problem of unemployment and large-scale corruption during the successive regimes of the Congress. People are fed up of Congress and have decided to vote for BJP this time,'' Mr Rawat said.

The BJP leader said on the lines of Uttranchal, there would be change in governmet in Himachal too and the people would throw out Congress from power and bring in the BJP.

He said that he along with a team of 60 party members from Uttranchal were campaigning in 17 constituencies of the state.

''We are working at the booth level to ensure the victory of the BJP candidates,'' he added.
