Another Babbar Khalsa terrorist nabbed in Punjab

Phagwara, Dec 14 (UNI) The Punjab Police today nabbed another Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terrorist, a fouth accomplice of the BKI module that had been assigned the task of assassinating Sacha Sauda head Gurmeet Ram Raheem Singh.

The arrested militant was identified as Jagjit Singh alias Jeete, a resident of Rurrka Khurad village.

According to DSP Harkamalpreet Singh Khakh, the terrorist was nabbed from a bus. A 303 bore home made pistol and ten live cartridges were recovered from him.

Jeete had managed to escape on Wednesday night after the arrest of his accomplice Gurinder Singh and his two associates from the town.

Lalu gets breather, eight punished in fodder scam

Ranchi, Dec 12 (UNI) The designated CBI court today delivered judgment on the remaining eight accused in multi-crore rupee fodder scam cases even as Railway Minister Lalu Prasad got a breather till January 7. Jharkhand High Court passed the order in response to a writ petition, filed by Mr Prasad and three other accused - Dr K M Prasad, former Animal Husbandry Department officer, Vidya Sagar Nishad and Dr Rabindra Kumar Rana - both former Legislators. Father of accused boy in Gurgaon shootout surrenders

Gurgaon, Dec 14 (UNI) Azad Yadav, the father of the accused boy in the killing of eighth class student Abhishek Tyagi, today surrendered before the police here even as it was discovered that the revolver used in Tuesday's shootout did not actually belong to him as believed earlier. DCP, Gurgaon (south), Satish Balan told mediapersons that Azad Yadav, who went into hiding after the juvenile crime took place, surrendered in the police station of Sector-40 of Gurgaon. Lokayukt police investigating dumpers' purchase issue

Bhopal, Dec 14 (UNI) A special court today directed the Lokayukt Special Police Establishment to submit chargesheet on completing investigation into much-debated dumpers' purchase issue. However, Special Judge R K Bhave did not fix the next date for hearing. The Lokayukt police said a case was registered against Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan under sections 200 and 156(3) of the CrPC and sections 420, 467, 471 and 120 (B) of the IPC. The Lokayukt police said investigation was underway.....
