Action to be taken on pasting of stickers: EC

Gandhinagar, Dec 14 (UNI) Taking a dim view of pasting of stickers or pamphlets on vehicles, the Chief Electoral Officer today hinted that action would be taken against candidates, pasting stickers on private vehicles.

''If the sticker is pasted with the written authority from the candidate, expenses incurred on the vehicle would be booked to the account of the candidate,'' EC sources said.

''In the event, if it is done without the written authority from the candidate, it should be examined whether Section 171 H of the IPC has been attracted, and if so, action would be taken under that Section, against the owner of the vehicle.'', the sources said.

The stickers, pasted on the vehicles without the knowledge of the owner of the vehicle, should be removed, the sources added.

200 yrs old masks go missing from Nanda Devi in Uttarakhand

Dehradun, Dec 14 (UNI) Fourteen sacred masks, believed to be 200 years old with religious and mythological values, went missing from Nanda Devi temple at Lata village in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. Woman dies after being administered wrong injection

Sehore, MP, Dec 14 (UNI) A woman died after she was administered a wrong injection at a government hospital in this district, official sources said today. Khadigaon village-resident Rani B, who was bitten by dog, had gone for getting fourth Rabies injection but nurse Alka Sarathe administered her a wrong injection for making her unconscious. Another Babbar Khalsa terrorist nabbed in Punjab

Phagwara, Dec 14 (UNI) The Punjab Police today nabbed another Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terrorist, a fouth accomplice of the BKI module that had been assigned the task of assassinating Sacha Sauda head Gurmeet Ram Raheem Singh.
