3 head-masters suspended for laxity in Mid-Day meal

Pratapgarh, Dec 14 (UNI) Three primary school head-masters have been suspended for dereliction of duty in Mid Day meals here.

According to sources, the accused comprising Sadashiv Jaiswal, Ram Khelawan and Jamuna Prasad were charged with not distributing Mid Day Meals properly to students in their respective schools.

Rs 7,605 crore Draft Annual Plan for Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 14 (UNI) The Kerala Government today prepared a Draft Annual Plan worth Rs 7,605 crore for 2008-09, effecting a hike of Rs 655 crore as compared to the previous year. Talking to newspersons after attending a State Planning Board meeting, Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan said local bodies would get a sum of Rs 1,877 crore in the next financial year. Kolkata, Dec 14 (UNI) Railway Minister Lalu Prasad announced a compensation of Rs five lakh each for the families of those killed in the bus-train accident in Punjab's Moga district today.
