Goa new ball bowlers, Saurabh Bandekar and Robin D'souza accompanied by Shadab Jakati, shattered the hopes of the Jammu and Kashmir, who still is eyeing for a single Ranji Trophy victory of the season.
However, fog today forced the delay at the start of the match from its scheduled time. Goans won the toss and put J&K to bat first. Openers Ian Dev Singh and Vivek Singh kept their bats moving and rotating the scoreboard as well but the duo failed to stand at the crease for long.
Ian Dev (20) was the first victim of J&K when he was caught at the slip on a delivery from right arm medium pacer Saurabh Bandekar.
Vivek Singh followed him for 28 runs off 82 deliveries with three boundaries while Arshad Bhat remained firm scoring 31 runs. He was sent back to the pavilion by Robin D'souza trapped leg before.
The middle order collapsed quickly and no batsman stayed at the crease and crossed double figure. Tail-ender debutant Pranav Mahajan along with Majid Dar were at the crease when the haze forced umpires to declare end of today's play due to bad light at 1500 hrs.
