One more case on actress Kushboo

Rameswaram (Tamil Nadu) Dec 1: One more case of religious offence has been filed against Controversial Tamil Actress Kushboo for hurting the sentiments of Hindus by sitting cross-legged with footwear before the 'Mupperum Deviyar' idols, at the Judicial Magistrate (JM) Court here.

Hindu Munnani Local Leader S Kannan Siva filed the case at the JM Court here yesterday under Sections 295 and 295 (A) of the IPC relating to offences against religion. Admitting the petition, Judicial Magistrate Sampath Kumar posted the hearing to December five.

This was the third case filed against Kushboo in the State. Cases have been filed at Kumbakonam and Chennai for defiling Hindu gods and hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus during the inaugural ceremony of the shooting of Tamil film 'Vallamai Thaarayo.'

Bangalore, Mar 13: Karnataka may have to wage 'War for Water' if the final award of the Cauvery Water Disputes Tribunal was implemented, an irrigation expert has opined.
