Rajkot, Nov 29: Deputy to Chief Election Commissioner Jaipriya Prakash and Gujarat Chief Election Officer Vinod Babbar reviewed the poll preparedness for the first phase of assembly elections in the state, to be held on December 11.

Mr Prakash and Mr Babbar yesterday held discussions with the officials of the Rajkot and Surendranagar districts and assessed the situation in view of the assembly elections. They also held meeting with the collectors, senior officers and IPS officers, which lasted for two hours.

They also had seperate meetings with the election observers.
