Cong in advantageous position in coming polls: Siddaramaiah

Mysore, Nov 25: Congress leader Siddramiah today said that his party was in an advantageous position to clinch majority in the coming assembly elections in Karnataka.

Speaking to news persons here said that there was no alternative left for the political parties but to go for the polls after the fall of seven-day old BJP-JS(S) coalition government.

Both the BJP and the JD(S) had lost their credibility due to misrule and feuds between each other and would be rejected by the people in the coming elections.

Stating that the Congress had never tried to form the government at any stage realigning with JD(S), he said the party high command was never in favour of any such idea at all.

"JD(S) will be 'demolished' in the next elections and it had already dug his own grave committing a number of mistakes. People will not forgive this party for pulling down two, Congress and BJP-led governments. However, BJP need not keep false hopes that sympathy factor will work in its favour. It has committed enough blunders for people to reject it," he said.
